This was the first bike I painted and did full decals on. The frame is quite unique with shifter mounts on the down tube. There was a full "Made in France" Schwinn approved groupo with serviceable chain ring. I added Mafac brakes and used high flange French Schwinn hubs for the wheels. The front fork was custom and not original to this frame. The steep rake made for a really interesting feel. I also built the front wheel as a 700c and the rear wheel as a 27" with matching black spokes. The slightly smaller front wheel makes the bike feel like it's always going downhill. It is a lot more nimble and responsive.
